I’ve entered!

I took the plunge and entered my first half marathon. When I first started running in mid January this was unthinkable. Then in late January I started to have a crazy idea that maybe I could do a quarter marathon. Running 10K seemed like a dream at that point. Then in April I did that and started to think, maybe a half?

Well, I’m committed now. And who knows? Maybe next year I’ll do a full? More crazy talk eh…

Good stuff. I’m toying with the idea myself – even just for the chance to go over the bridge. I did the quarter last year and it was great fun. The atmosphere is something else as there are heaps of people in the event.

On the downside it is quite expensive but you do get a running shirt chucked in.

Half marathon sounds doable. Wish I liked running.

Congrats on registering! I’m looking forward to hearing of your training and your thoughts on race day itself.

I would love to do this race sometime, but I arrive in Auckland about a week too late, and will be departing to come home probably the very day it happens next year. Oh well!!

    Way to go Andrew!

I just joined the WA Marathon Club here in Perth. Just for the company of running, but may (a BIG may) end up with a half marathon. Long way to go yet!

Going over the bridge is a major attraction and I quite like the idea of ‘earning’ the shirt.

Yes, it went from the quarter marathon to the half marathon. It’s amazing, eh and we know you can do it.

Well, we will be cheering and taking photos on the day! :)
