Weigh-in: Slow but steady

According to Physics Diet I’m down another .55 kilograms (1.2 pounds) this week. That brings my official weight to 95.25 kgs now.

My weight loss has been slowing a bit lately but truth be told I’ve been eating more as well. Now that I’ve started running longer distances I’ve found I’m a lot more hungry. I think its the running that is causing the increased hunger but it may be the fact that the temperatures have been dropping as we head into winter. I don’t think I’ve been going overboard with my eating and I’m still losing weight so I think things are under control.

Slow and steady is supposedly the best way to do it by all accounts so you’re doing well!

It’s a good loss! I wonder if you’d be so successful with your longer (and faster) runs if you weren’t giving yourself those extra calories? Whatever you’re doing seems to be working quite nicely!

I’ve wondered that myself actually. I’ve been trying to steer my snacking urges towards the fruit basket rather than the bread basket. :)

Running is sometimes a double edge sword….great way to lose weight, but when you start doing a lot of it you eat more.
Sadly I gained almost 10lbs training for my first marathon.

You are continuing to do so AWESOME! Keep up the great work.

Thanks Carly. 10lbs – I’ll try and avoid replicating that!

I think it’s very important to make sure you are fueled for your runs.. Plus, closer to your goal weight, the slower it goes… I am trying to get over my own plateau. I’m stuck at 158. It’s a shame we are on two different seasons. It’s almost like living through winter now twice a year!

I’m still happy with the progress. I’m still losing and I’m eating plenty so it’s good. :)

If I can be losing 0.5kg a week, I’ve be smiling!

Well, can’t have big losses every week. As long as you are still losing weight, it’s all good. :)

Hey, you are losing… I say that means you are doing something right! Sometimes your body does need the calories, so if you are hungrier and eating more and STILL losing weight… don’t stress!

You’ll know if progress stops… and that is the time to tighten up the diet. ‘Til then… enjoy!
