Weigh in & Let’s do some push-ups
If you're new here, you may want to get my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting! I couldn't do this without the help of my commenters!
Well, this week I’m down to 93.86 kgs (206.9 pounds) which is a healthy .84 kg loss (1.85 pounds) for the week. That means I’m down about 50 pounds for the year so far and 101 pounds overall. Pretty incredible isn’t it?
I started my 100 push-ups challenge today:
Today I was required to do 10, 10, 8, 6 and then my max (min 7) with a minute break in between each set. I saw over on Bill’s blog that he completed his yesterday and did the minimum for his max. I was determined to beat him so did 8 as my max!
Aaron did 26…but that is another story.
In other news, spare a thought for Tim who got tripped in a race and broke his collar bone.[ad#default]

Nice work on the push ups! How was it?
Enjoy the rest day tomorrow and get ready for the next level

I was actually fairly easy until that last set of 7. I probably could have done more so next time I will try and harden up!

The last set always gets me. Going into the workout I always plan to gut out as many in the last set as I can. Typically I end up scraping through the minimum and just adding one extra for good luck!
Luckily there’s always a next time…

Good work on the push-ups (and the ongoing weight loss)
I suppose its like any strength excercise you are trying to fatigue your muscles with the first few sets and the last set is where you bring home the bacon.

I haven’t done my test yet – but I will tonight. So nervous because of my right hand still being very sore. We’ll see how it goes.

I would suggest that if it gives you grief during your test then you should probably not attempt this without seeing a physio. You don’t want to aggravate an injury.

I occasionally tape my wrists to provide a little extra support, but Andrew’s right – don’t risk aggravating it!

This whole 100 pushups caper seems like absolute madness to me, but you seem to have converted a lot of people into trying it! I might check it out, although I do have doubts as to whether it’s possible for me to do 100 full plank pushups!

The whole running caper seemed like absolute madness to me not so long ago!
So who knows?

Incredible — YES!

101 pounds is awesome. I am awful at push-ups, so I may try this program to see if I can improve. I know that when I did them for a while, I definitely felt like it was an effective exercise.

Ok, Ok, I feel like such a wuss just doing the minimum 7! (I was pacing myself!)
we’ll see what happens. ‘m off t check out Aaron’s 26!

Oh, I’m also going to try to do 100 sit ups using Steve’s process and tighten up the stomach. I’m sure there’s an ab in there somewhere!

I feel surprisingly good actually. I thought I would be sore but nope.

I think you should double the number of sit ups compared to the push ups program – they’re far easier

Actually, this is my favorite ab workout: http://tinyurl.com/5os8wb
A progressive 6-week program that I’m doing hand-in-hand with the push ups plan.
It starts off gentle, but gets tough in week 3 and 4..

I can do 2 push ups, not going to train on this with my buggered wrist anyway. Can’t have another injection…
Rather train on doing 100 sit ups!
Good luck with your ones!
