One hundred pushup challenge is not easy

If you're new here, you may want to get my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting! I couldn't do this without the help of my commenters!

onehundred125x125I attempted day 3 of the 100 pushup challenge today and it looks like I’ll be repeating week 01.  The program calls for 15, 13, 10, 10 and max (min 15) with 2 minutes rest between each set.

I managed 15, 13, 8, 8 and 8.  In the past this may have caused me to give up but I will just repeat week 01 until I can do it properly.  Hopefully the rest of you are having more luck.

  1. Sounds like I have some fun to look forward to – I completed day 1 yesterday…

  2. Keep at it. I’m not doing the push-up challenge, but twice a week I knock out 30, 25, 20, 20, 15 (if only becaus e I have the watchful eye of a trainer to make sure I do it!). When I started, back February, I could barely do one! I still find them excruciating, but I can do them!

  5. You’ll be fine if you repeat Week 1 I’m sure. You’ll be pleasantly surprised how much stronger you are compared to this week…

  6. Andrew, just think of that day when you quietly count “100!” and you’re done. It’ll happen. Perhaps the biggest thing is that we’ve started!

  9. You’re still in the program, though, and that is what matters most. I have no doubt (not a shred!) that you will master this first bit and be moving to the second in good form. I’m sure I’ll be repeating at some point, probably in the not too distant future. :) Keep up the hard work and the great attitude!

  10. You are right it isn’t easy but amazing how quick the body adapts (bit like running really!). The challenge makes the victory all the more sweeter when you get there.

I’m sure you’ll find it easier going next week.

    Great attitude!

  12. You’ll get there!

Hmmm, maybe I’ll have to try some girlie push-ups… I know I can’t manage the real kind. But if I can’t do girlie style, then I should get back to counter push-ups again. Something, anything!
