Deja Vu!

onehundred125x125I restarted the 100 pushup challenge yesterday evening.  As you may recall I couldn’t complete day 3 of week 01 last week so I’m redoing week 01 this week.

I’ve decided I will do my pushups in the evening instead of first thing in the morning as I have this suspicion that attempting a lot of pushups on an empty stomache is not a good idea.  Well, that’s my story and I’m sticking with it.

Anyways, I was supposed to do 10, 10, 8, 6 and max (min 7).  I did all the required and a max of 16 so there is already a 100% improvement from last week when I could only do 8 for my max.

I did a gym run this morning as the weather is still nasty.  Winter has finally arrived in New Zealand and it looks like we’ll have rain for a while.  I’ll run in heavy rain for a race but not for my normal runs on a workday.  I did 7.5km in 40 minutes which is a bit faster than I normally run and it was good.

My beloved scale has gone wonky.  I replaced the batteries and now it thinks I’m 37 kgs heavier than I am. Boy it brought back some memories seeing those high numbers flash up this morning!  I’ll have to go and get it replaced or fixed as I can’t do without my daily weigh in!

I’m really enjoying the 100 push up challenge – thanks for putting me on to it! I’ve just done week 2 day 1 and it’s going good. :)

I’ve always thought showing off how many push ups you can do is a bit lame but when I make it to 100 it’s going to be hard not to!

That sounds like a great challenge… I’m not quite ready for that one yet! Good luck!

Try and stop me showing off once I get to 100!

    Good news on those pushups.

What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger :)

I need to check that program out. I really don’t mind push-ups and could definitely stand to get a little stronger.

I’m with you on the evening pushups. No appeal in the morning for me, and I can fit them in the evening, which is not always so easy with running.

Holy cow…. have you really lost 102 pounds??? That’s awesome!!

I did Day One of the 100-pushup challenge yesterday, and have been sore today; might take another recovery day before doing Day Two.

You’ve lost 102 pounds and I can’t seem to stick with it to lose a measly 15 or so….

I’m actually in the same boat on the challenge. Starting over this week.

On the Deja Vu – WOW, interesting thought. I hadn’t considered what it would feel like from that perspective – it’s actually really good motivation to keep working on it, just to find out!

Heh…the more you have the easier they are to lose at first. Those last few are a lot harder!

Yeah, I’m with you on this one. I’m repeating week one…wondering if I should even scale back to the lower level!

I think this could be a 56 week program. :)
