It's just great that you feel the way you do about exercise. I have no doubt we'll see you back in the green before the week is out.

The weightloss has taken me quite a lot longer than that. I've just been running since the middle of January.

Just wanted to pop in and say that, even if you had a minor setback this week, a total loss of 103 pounds is very, very impressive. Even moreso given that it's taken you just 5.5 months. Nice work!

As Sharon said, a blip not even enough to be concerned about, and I can tell from your post that you're not really. Glad you seem to be recovering well.

0.34 of a Kg is not even one whole pound -- ignore it, it will come straight back off once you are up and running again !!

One of your lines:

"When I got sick in the past it would start a spiral of eating that would not stop"

Sounds so like me in the past. Back in January this year I was a lot lighter than I am at the mo but I got an infection, a very bad, long lasting viral infection. Instead of thinking "oh dear, I can't exercise I should eat less for a while" I succumbed to comfort eating and feeling fed up.

However, THIS time (I now have a back/neck problem that I need to get fixed which has messed up my exercise plans all week) I have been eating moderately to compensate for the fact that I can't exercise !!

Lessons learned and all that. ;-)

Best wishes for a speedy recovery,
Sharon

Yeah - give it time, let yourself recover. There will be plenty of time to get back on the exercise wagon - no sense in hurting yourself further and making things worse!

Oh yes, we must eliminate the pink blob from your pretty chart! :) So glad you're recuperating nicely, and I hope to see the trend continue.

Don't push yourself unless you're sure you're ready - one day's running is not worth the rest of the week laid out and useless!

For what it's worth, the few times I've had a few days off the gym it does tend to result in a gain - but then as soon as I get back in the gym it flies off and I'm quickly even less than before.

Tis good to give the body a chance to rest and keep your metabolism on its toes!
