Comment problems, pushups & abs

I’ve received a few emails from people saying that they can’t comment on my blog. I’ve tested it and I can comment, my wife can comment and random folks around the world seem to be able to comment so I suspect it’s an Askimet (spam filter) problem. I’ve checked my spam queue and there are no comments in there so I’m really not too sure what is going on. If you’ve had comments lost could you use the contact form above to let me know please? Also a few people have mentioned that they are not getting my feed either…it’s all very strange as I haven’t changed anything (except I’ve upgraded to WordPress 2.6). Hmm…

Anyway back to the fitness stuff. Day 01 of week 04 of the pushups challenge. 27, 20, 20, 17, 36 (min 27) and day 02 of the abs program. Just a quick update tonight! Heavy rain at the moment so it looks to be a gym run tomorrow.

Seems to be okay for me. Askimet won’t prevent a person from being able to comment – but it might interpret something as spam and file it there. But if you’ve checked and it’s blank, I’m guessing it’s either an isolated or obscure browser-related incident. Probably IE6. Amazing how many people are still using that!

As far as I know it works fine for me, I’m using FF3. Very strange indeed. It did take a really long time for the comment to post though..

Thanks Gents. I’ve disabled most comment plugins. Let’s see what happens.

yep – it’s IE6 (yes, some of us have archiac workplaces). IE7 works fine.

No offense meant Louise. I was stuck with IE6 at work as well until I started bringing my laptop in. It’s the blogger’s nightmare, simply because (I believe I’m right in saying that) it’s still the biggest version of IE out there, but really struggles with a lot of the more modern WordPress themes (and plugins, as we have seen). But you ignore it’s rendering naffness to your peril.

It was happening with Firefox 3 users as well. It turns out one of my plugins was acting up.

WTG on the pushup progress! I was finding progress hard, actually not making any, so I’ve gone back to Week 2. Overtraining? Maybe…

Andrew, thanks for your comments on my blog. Just had a quick look at your site and well impressed. I like the idea of this 100 pushups and might give that a go.
