Good runs
Apparently we haven’t had a dry weekend since May according to our local paper. I can well believe it. This one is gearing up to be wet as well so I’m looking forward to a soggy long run on Sunday.
I had a good workout yesterday – a 10K hill workout on the treadmill. I enjoyed it but it was hard work. It really has been a wet winter as I seem to be on the treadmill most of the time.
However, it was reasonably sunny this afternoon so I thought I would take the opportunity to get a quick run in outside and I did. About 20 minutes into the run the rain reappeared and I got soaked. A few minutes later it was sunny again and I quickly got dry. I really love the technical gear that I have. The water just disappears off it. So it was a nice 5K run home.
Got a busy weekend planned. Lots of socialising and whatnot so hopefully my meals don’t get knocked about too much. I’ve had a really bad week with the eating but it hasn’t hurt me too much yet in the weight department.
Anyways, gotta run!

You’re right the technical fabrics are super aren’t they – how did we ever do without them ?
Andrew(AJH)s last blog post..Another cold day …
Now that I have decent running clothes, I LOVE running in the rain (as long is it is not too cold). It is so refreshing and beats running in the heat.
Have a great weekend.

Just wanted to let you know that you are an inspiration. You have been commenting on my blog lately and I really appreciate it. I would not say I am a runner just yet, but with all the time I spent in the gym over the past few months I actually went out and ran 2 miles last night (3.2km?). So another week or so of running and I think I will be able to call myself a runner. I will keep updated on your progress and be looking forward to seeing photos from your half! Keep up the great work Andrew, like I said, you are inspiring!

I know this probably isn’t the kind of support anyone would ask for, but a great big part of me was so glad to read that you had a bad week of eating. You are so inspiring to me — heck, you run in the RAIN, you’re that committed to / in love with running! *grin* — that I was starting to feel intimidated by your perfection. *grin*
What ran through my mind: “So, wow. Andrew had a bad week of eating. Andrew. Had a bad week of eating. Even Andrew. A whole week.” And yet, you’re still here and not letting it derail you. And I realized that, once again, I’ve been letting a perfect plan get in the way of a good plan.
Thanks, Andrew! Reading about your human failings really cheered me up! LOL!
I love your photo and the fact that you like to run in the rain! It’s been dry here, and I haven’t been running, but I can do it vicariously through your posts : )
Thanks!
