Pushing upwards again

Corey inspired me to restart the 100 pushups challenge. My physio said I could restart but I’ve been avoiding it! As you do!

I’ve just done an exhaustion test to see where I should start off and managed to nut out 45. I’ll work out where that means I should start off a bit later as my arms are still shaking.

I’m not going to do a daily update of the pushups but will do a weekly recap.

I’ve been struggling with the pushup challenge, seems like I hit a wall, I’m doing week four right now, and I had trouble making it through the exhaustion test last night, my arms were shaking! At least I know I’m working hard right?

All right, darn you Andrew you just gave me the kick in the butt I needed. I just did my exhaustion test and managed 36, now I’ll go back and see if that means I can stay at Week 5 where I ended or if I need to redo Week 4.

I’ve seen the 100 pushup challenge floating around a few blogs a lot lately, and I’ve got to admit, it seems absolutely brutal and punishing.

But more than anything, it comes off to me as more than a little gimmicky.

I’m interested in hearing your thoughts about the program.

Aah it definitely gimmicky. It’s definitely brutal and punishing.

Add to that soul destroying and crushing.

    And yet…

    I’m still doing it.

I am going to give myself 1 more week of rest on the ole ribs, then back to the 100 challenge. Can I tell you I am not looking forward to it. It is too much like work.
I finished @ w3d3 before, so I’ll do another fitness test and see where I am at.

45 as your starting point is great progress from 25 (I think ) the first time you started. Just keep at it the gains will come in time.

I’m stuck at 80, I’m also doing P90X at the same time so I might actually be over doing it and stalling on improving my max.
