Weigh-in #4 2009

Well this week has ended up alright but over the weekend it was a bit touch and go.  I’ve been sick (still not 100%) and I indulged slightly in some comfort food.  I also had a large family celebration for Chinese New Year where eating till you are stuffed is sort of required.  Having said that I indulged exclusively in healthy food I think. :)

But overall the week still goes down as a success.  Another pure green week on Physics Diet I’m pleased to report:

My PD weight is now 89.79 kg (first time under 90kg!) and actual scale weight this morning is 88.1 kg (194ish pounds).  That’s a PD loss of .82 kg (2 pounds) and a scale loss of 1.2 kgs (2.5 pounds).  I’ll happily take that.

I’m very pleased that I’ve managed to lose so much even though the running has taken a bit of a blow this last week.  I’ve been running but I’ve only been doing 5K at a time rather than 10K.  My lungs are just about cleared now so I’m hoping to be able to resume my normal distances soon.

This is the lowest weight I’ve ever been except for when I was packing it on in the first place.  I’m trying to focus on one week at a time – heck even one day at a time – but that pounds to go counter keeps catching my eye.  Single digits folks!

You just don’t miss a step.

As always you are an inspiration… and thanks for the encouragement. Keep it coming.

I hope you keep feeling better.

By the way, a good friend of mine is in Taupo this week checking out the course for the Ironman New Zealand.

Those results are pretty awesome taken that your weren’t feeling your best. You have to be proud of what you have done and the results that you show each week. All I can basically manage is a 5K and I am not even sick and here you have done 10K. That’s pretty impressive work. Do you do a lot of your running outside or on the treadmill?
Now as far as my 3 Am wake up call. It’s just something I am use to and it gets me to the gym before the crowds roll in, especially will the pool. I like it all to myself becasue I just find it easier and more comfortable swimming and I don’t have to worry about bothering others. So if I get there early it’s all mine! :-)
Hope you feel 100% better real soon.

I must say this is probably the first time you’ve been sick for over a week and not gained weight… in the last… hmm… ever since I’ve known you really!

    Well done!

Woot! You survived Chinese New Year (a hard thing to do when your family keeps telling to eat more). Grats on the loss. You continue to inspire me with every pound you lose and your love for running.

    Incredible! Single digits to go.

I find when I’m ill, my weight drops. Trick is to keep it off. (There was the 9 pounds in 3 days with a kidney stone, but I most certainly don’t recommend that to anyone!)

    Just to clarify. . . not a 9-pound-kidney-stone — I lost 9 pounds trying to pass a kidney stone.

It’s tough to focus on weight loss goals when you’ve got so many distractions going on. Sounds like you’ve done a great job. Hang with it!
