Butter redux redux

It’s been a while since my last butter shot so while in the supermarket on the weekend I snapped a quick photo:

There are 100 half kg blocks of butter (50kgs/110 pounds worth) in that pile under my hand. I can’t imagine carrying that much weight around with me every day now. It boggles the mind really.

Nice perspective! I went to a health fair a few weeks ago, where they had 10 pounds of fat laying on a table. (It was preserved, of course.) Makes you think about weight differently.

Love the visual! I picked up my 60 pound dog and carried her across the room and that reminded me I don’t ever want to regain the 60 pounds I’ve lost.

That’s a great way to make a point! It’s funny, but so true at the same time. First off, great job!
Second, I feel the same way, as I am 60 pounds lighter than my max weight in Oct. ’05 and 40 pounds lighter, and much healthier than I was one year ago. I really don’t know how I made it through my first 1/2-mary a year ago without blowing a gasket!

Again, awesome work. Hey, send some of that warm weather up and over this way!

What a great way to visualize weight loss. Next time I’m at the store I’ll be checking out the butter. We were doing squats with 25 pound plates in my boot camp class last night and while someone was complaining about the weight, I thought to myself “I’ve lost almost three of these, this isn’t so bad.” Felt good!

Thanks for the comment and encouragement man. I guess not getting some rest in 28 hours made me a bit cranky. I just got back from the gym and feeling rejuvenated. As much as part of me still wants to give up blogging, deep down I think I really need it and you guys if my journey is to be a successful one.
So I am back and thanks for your support as well.

    Andrew,

I feel entirely silly right now, You have been commenting on my blog for some time now and I have clicked on your profile link a few times in the past and since you don’t have your page in the section where it says “my blogs” I entirely missed the fact that you have your page listed on the left under your email link! I was going to send you an email to say thanks for all of the support that you have given me over the past few months and there I saw the link to your site, a truly Duh moment for me I will admit but now that I found your site I have some new reading material!

Now onto this post, that butter picture is fantastic! My father and I have something that he asks me every time I talk to him he says (which you may know already I posted it on my blog before I believe) “how many bags?” and what he means is how many 5lb bags of sugar have I lost so far! 36 dad! lol I love the butter picture and I am planning on a sugar picture when I hit 200 pounds lost :) so maybe next month ;)

Again I thank you for all of the support that you have left me, I got some reading to do so I end this comment here.

    As Ever
    Tony

Cyndee does know her stuff man, that is one thing I give her credit for. I guess what the real problem is that our personalities seem to clash quite a bit. Maybe it’s because we don’t know each other that well, but I don’t think that’s it. When you click, you click. I know when I hired Brad last year it was a match and like I said he offered me an awesome deal that NO other trainer can or will come close to. I guess time will tell with what happens.
What matters for now is that I am staying focused and working real hard at the gym. Plus eating a whole lot better as well.
    Thanks again man!

Haha…that’s brilliant. I’m going to have a go at something similar when I reach my next milestone…don’t know what though.

I’d a similar experience on my last holiday when checking in my baggage…it weighted 16kg, a bit under what I’ve lost. It just felt so heavy.

Anyways, keep up the good work.
