Weigh-in #7 2009

Well, it’s been a truly atrocious week of eating.  Although actually it hasn’t been too bad.  I’ve overindulged somewhat but I think overindulgence for me now is a far cry from overindulgence in the past.

Overall I’ve remained relatively static.  I’ve got my parents coming over for the weekend so I suspect it will be a weekend of eating out and whatnot so I’m not too optimistic about next week’s weigh-in either.  I do tend to struggle when I’m out of routine.  Anyway, onwards and upwards!

I agree with respect to “overindulging”. Having two brownies in one week would be excessive now, whereas two years ago, it might be a snack between meals. :)

Wishing you a safe run and an enjoyable weekend with family!

That is so true “Cammy” and you toke the brownies right out of my mouth :-) An absolutely true statement. You beat me to it though.

Yep! I shared a bowl of fries with my wife and a friend, had a few milos and ate more yoghurt than I should have! Atrocious eating indeed! :)

A great little trick for not eating a lot when going out on the town is to eat a small healthy meal before you leave. It will fill you up and not leave you starving while waiting for your actual food to arrive.

Great idea. I’ve started ordering entree sizes as well rather than mains. Also, sharing with the wife is a great strategy. One meal between us.

Shouldn’t that be onwards and downwards ?

Hey, all things considered this is not a bad weigh in (if I am reading the graph correctly, that is). I love the little stat that says you had 37 excess calories per day! That’s like eating an extra handful of raisins a day, isn’t it?

Isn’t it onwards and DOWNwards ;)

I agree my indulgences would have been mere snacks awhile ago.

I wouldn’t sweat it. We all slip sometimes.

Its fascinating to me that so much human interaction revolves around food. Maybe you can swing a few walks along those gorgeous routes you run?

Almost everybody has times when they get “out of routine” and the eating isn’t perfect. I think as long as you don’t let it become an ongoing habit or ongoing upward creep on the scale you’ll be fine.

And the great thing is you aren’t hiding your head in the sand. You are being accountable and that means mindful. Good job!

Even better that current indulgences are not like past ones!

I had a rough week too. I’m actually up quite a bit this week. Better week this week… starting now.

Not such a bad thing to push the calories up during an event week. You’ll be right back in the negative now, I’m sure!
