My new treadmill
My treadmill arrived this morning at about 8am. The guy who delivered it was 60 years old and he had a heart condition. The treadmill weighs 125 kg and could I give him a hand getting it off his truck? Why certainly.
He didn’t mention that it was buried under about 20 other packages and once we got to it that I had to do the heavy lifting. I recall wondering why I had paid $100 for delivery if I had to do the lifting myself?
It was quite funny in a sad sort of a way that we had to have a rest after moving the treadmill about a metre as it looked like the poor old guy was going to have a coranary.
We eventually got it into my basement/rumpus room and then he diffidently asked if I would mind giving him a hand loading all the parcels back into his truck! Needless to say I did but there was some quiet muttering under my breath!
Click more to see my installation fun (warning! lots of photos). Here it is in the box as I left it this morning:

My first task in assembling it was to get it on it’s side so that I could take it out of the box!
I’m doing my bit to support the Chinese economy:

I got the lid off and it was revealed in all it’s glory:
I then had to pull it out of it’s box and all of a sudden there it was:
I had a moment of panic when I couldn’t figure out how to get it flat on the ground but unlike some other men I’m not afraid to read the instructions!
Tighten a few bolts:
Screw on some plastic bits:
And she’s all done:
My home gym is taking shape!
It took me about 40 mins from unpacking to having it operational and I was very glad to have my wife’s help in holding the odd piece in place while shining a torch so that I could see where the holes for the screws and bolts were.
Today is my rest day so I’m looking forward to my inaugral run on it tomorrow morning!

I remember trying to lug our new treadmill up our stairs, around a corner and into it’s new home. It took 3 guys about 15 minutes.. Those things are super heavy!

In fact I’ve forgotten what a rest day is its been that long since I’ve had one lol
Hope the treadmill serves you well!

Even on a rest day, how in the world did you stand not doing an inaugural run? You’re made of tougher stuff than me.

You paid the hundred bucks for the strength workout!
My treadmill was over 300 pounds. Sat in the garage in the crate for three months until I conned a bunch of neighborhood guys to help me move it to the basement. The rest was history.
Congrats on the new arrival.

So how did your first run on the treadmill go? It sure looks like a great piece of equipment and a good addition to your home gym. Wish I had room for one. it seems like you got quite a workout just loading and unloading.

You’ve been silent for a bit–I imagine you and Sally and the little monkey are taking turns treading away the miles! I’m resisting the movement to get one for our house. What do you think??

We’ve almost worn out our treadmill. I love it and have used it almost every day for the past 3-4 years. That is one ROCKIN’ treadmill! I’m a little envious.
I would be getting my $100 delivery fee back, though. Seriously, I’d make a BIG stink about it. They should not be sending out one old man to deliver that heavy of objects. If i get a new one, I’m going to make sure and get delivery AND installation.
