A late afternoon run with my wife

I’ve had a busy week at work (a busy year actually) and I have to nip in early tomorrow (Saturday) so I thought I’d get a run in this afternoon.  Fortunately my lovely wife was keen on a run as well so we headed out together.

We just did a local loop and it was nothing serious but it was very nice.  Sometimes it’s just nice to get out and run with someone special. :)

I’ve got a 5K race this Sunday and I’ve just realised that this will be the first 5K race I have done in a year!  It’s the same race so it will be interesting to see if I’ve made any progress over the last year. ;)   I did it in 27:27 last time and the conditions were terrible so here’s hoping I can beat it.

I still need to do my lessons learnt from my marathon post but I’ve just been rather slack at getting on to it!

It’s cool that you can do that together. The great thing about running with a partner is that there are no distractions. Gives you time to just talk. Probably good for your relationship as well as your health.

You are much faster than me and I finally broke hit the 26 barrier on the 5K, so you will definitely “smoke” my 5K!

I bet you beat your time from last year’s 5k. :)

It is always so nice to run with your soulmate. I have a hunch that you did the 5K under 25 minutes. I will be eager to hear from you on this one.

Great job! I would guess it is really nice to get out for a run with your wife. Still hoping for one day on that myself :)
