Friday mornings with my lady

One of the highlights of the week is my Friday morning run with my beloved wife.  This morning we ran around the Orakei Basin which is the submerged crater of a long extinct volcano.  As you can see it was a beautiful, crisp, still winter’s morning:

I’ve got a very nasty cold so it was rather tough going but definitely the highlight of my day.  I never thought I’d be blessed with the ability to run, nevermind run with my wife in one of the most beautiful areas in the world. :)

    Wow beautiful! Forgive me, this is my first time reading your blog so I’m not familar with where you are from. Where is Orakei Basin located? I need to run there! I don’t care how far I have to travel!

    That’s a beautiful picture and a great motivator for getting out into nature and exercising. It’s even better when you can do it with someone you love.

    You live in a wonderful part of the world. To go out running to all these great places, do you have to drive there by car, or can you just get out of the house and enjoy the views?
