New Push-up Record

I managed to do a record 50 push-ups in a row tonight.  I can honestly say that is my best ever so I’m pretty happy.

Having said that I’ve found that (same as in previous attempts) that the step from week 03 to week 04 is very tough.  I’ve been unhappy with the form of my push-ups in week 04 so I’ve decided I’m going to go back and redo the program from week 03 onwards and concentrate on good form.  I found that I was cheating a bit to get my full quota in week 04 which sort of defeats the purpose of the whole exercise.

50 push-ups in a row!  I’m very happy with that. :)

  1. My record at the moment is THREE!

50 is an awesome effort. I will be joining you in the challenge in a few weeks time once my race is out of the way. I think my progress will be a bit slower though! Keep up the good work. 100 is just around the corner.

  2. 50 pressups is impressive! Mine is only around 32 so far. What is the proper form? How many seconds do you hold the movement or push up and down for? Or how far do you bend the arms? Till your nose touches the ground?

  3. Congratulations! I was doing pretty well at mine, but sadly have slacked off. Need to get back on track.

  8. Thats fantastic, over the last 3 months I have added push ups to my workout and I’m amazed at the results they give you. But completing high reps really eats into your time and makes your workout much longer.
I now do my push ups wearing a weight vest and use push up bars to get lower on each rep. I have gone from being able to do 60 to now only able to complete 15. But I’m saving myself lots of time and getting a better workout

  9. That’s pretty impressive. The only time that I do only 25 push-ups are when I need to do it before I go for my run – only in cold weather. Keep it up dude.

  10. Well done – really impressive stuff. I actually done the test last week and got 21 which suggested skipping to week 3 – don’t think I got past that last time, so figure I’ll start at the beginning!
