A goodly run and a ramble

This has been the most mileage I’ve ever done in a week. We had two days of holidays on Monday and Tuesday so I managed to get in a slightly longer set of runs than normal.

My long run this morning was fantastic.  The conditions were absolutely beautiful so I couldn’t resist taking a wee video to show you where I was running.  I tended to ramble on a bit!

I took a wrong turn on that pathway at one point:

I did 27.1 km overall and it felt pretty good.  My legs felt pretty good up until about 25km then I started getting tired.  I did 15.5km yesterday so that might explain why.  I think running a marathon distance over 2 days is good work. :)

Here are a few more shots from this morning’s run:

One of the things I really liked along that pathway was a life sized snakes and ladders game:

I’m definitely going to take my monkey there. :)

This was a shot at the Panmure Lagoon.  There is a small pedestrian bridge that crosses the lagoon and it just looked quite pretty.

I’m really blessed with having such great running routes so close to home.

I always love hearing what bloggers sound like. We read blogs all of the time and associate a verbal personality with them but never really know. This was a good vlog.

Keep up the good work Andrew.

Andrew! Nice, simple new blog layout. Looks great! I’m in the middle of my longest distance week for my May 2nd marathon. 20 miles down and 20 more to go on Sunday. Then it’s taper time! I’ve never run 40 miles in a week before (64km, yes I had to do the math) I think I’m going to start switching to km because it sounds so much further to me! Anyway, wish me luck for Sunday’s run. BTW dude, you look SKINNY!

You certainly have the nicest places I’ve seen to run. All you need is a foot of snow to complete your scenes. :)

Also … not sure why, but CommetLuv works weird for me. I make the post and it doesn’t show up. After I submit the comment, it then shows up in this form. I think I know why, but I’ll let you know if it keeps up.
