Weigh-in #15 2010: Weekend problems

I’m having weekend problems!

As I mentioned in my vlog, I was under goal on Saturday morning but by Saturday evening I’d eaten one too many helpings of the delicious foods my good friends brought over to my place for a potluck.  Just as well I’m running heaps!  Still, I did make a small loss overall.

I guess I could say the maintenance is going well in that if I didn’t get a weekend spike I’d still be losing weight.

Heh, even I don’t believe that one.

In other news, a glorious morning run today.  The chocolate mousse my friend made is sure great for powering morning runs, even two days later!  I did an easy 17km before work in 1:40:28 which is about 5:55/km pace.

My blogging buddy Michelle did a 100km run on the weekend!  She’s pretty inspiring I tell you.

Hey I like the new layout! Sounds like a great weekend. When I first started reading your blog, early in my own journey, I remember thinking, wow – I’ll never run like that. No way. And here I am lo and behold, a few months later, running (with plenty of walking mixed in – but determined to run nonetheless!). Anyhow, good to see you at goal and maintaining! Very inspiring!

It’s great how your body adapts and you can run more and more if you just take it nice and easy.

2kg overnight? That must have been a *huge* helping! Perhaps it’s a combo of “real” and water weight? Was it a high sodium dinner?

I love the weekends but the food schedule is never routine. It’s something that i have to figure out. I like eating routines.

I think I see an asymptote in that line there. Must be approaching your ideal weight??

Ouch! Those spikes are nasty! Nice to have that exercise (and the energy for it!) to balance things out!

Hey, you still pulled off a loss, so it’s all good. And the running! The running! I hope I can pull distances like that in time.

That reads like water weight gain. I wouldn’t worry about it. You’ll work and sweat it off soon enough. Keep your eyes on the prize.

You are a running machine…at least when you do have weekend eating problems, you more than make up for it in your exercise it seems.

It sounds like you really do have a pretty good handle on it. The weekends were always tricky for me – both during weight loss and the beginning year or two of weight maintenance.

Weekends are my most difficult time, too.

You run a lot, and that is so good.
