Don’t drink soda?

Too gross?

I used to drink about 2 litres of Coke a day and I’m pretty sure that goes a long way to explaining my weight gain.

  1. I certainly hope that ad will be effective!

With the exception of one cocktail at a party that was mixed with Pepsi, I have only had water and green tea since last November.

  4. I won’t watch the video, because I know it will be disgusting! But I rarely drink soda anymore either. I think it is worse for us than we realize. My kids don’t drink it either. Their friends guzzle it like water.

  7. I used to drink 2-4 cans of soda every day. It took me a long time to figure out just how bad that was for me…

I rarely ever crave one these days. Occasionally, if I’m feeling nauseous, or when I have chili. Go figure…

  8. Yummy :)

I used to drink a lot of soda myself. I did drink diet soda, but of course the artificial sweeteners have problems of their own…

  10. Not sure whether you saw it in NZ, but there were a few stories in the press here last week about people claiming to be addicted to Coke, including one woman who claimed to be drinking 70 litres a week!

  17. I can’t see the picture or video for some reason here at work…but I gave up Mountain Dew last May — I was drinking quite a bit each day…and stopping that…made a huge impact in how I felt on a daily basis.

I still drink a 12 oz sprite a day (still lots of sugar though). All the dark stuff is out.

  20. The sad, or good depending on how you look at, part is that I was never a big soda drinker so cutting out sodas did not help me one bit in my transformation as I never drank sodas to begin with. My weak spot is chips and snacks. I have pretty much abandoned any and all of it from my life and look where I got!

  23. I posted something similar to this earlier this year (although I think I lost it in my website conversion) — it certainly made me cut way back on soft drinks, and I already don’t drink that many anyway. One every once in a while is a treat — one or two or three a day is just disgusting.

  25. Soda contains so much sugar, it really adds up to your weight. You can try this one http://www.myefusjonpage.com/g/gillmana/639/. An effective healthy drink to keep you healthy and lose your weight. Add up some exercise too.
