Don’t drink soda?

Too gross?

I used to drink about 2 litres of Coke a day and I’m pretty sure that goes a long way to explaining my weight gain.

I certainly hope that ad will be effective!

With the exception of one cocktail at a party that was mixed with Pepsi, I have only had water and green tea since last November.

I won’t watch the video, because I know it will be disgusting! But I rarely drink soda anymore either. I think it is worse for us than we realize. My kids don’t drink it either. Their friends guzzle it like water.

Disgusting, but needed. And diet soda isn’t much better as to what it does to you….. now for me to go kick that habit……. again!

I used to drink 2-4 cans of soda every day. It took me a long time to figure out just how bad that was for me…

I rarely ever crave one these days. Occasionally, if I’m feeling nauseous, or when I have chili. Go figure…

    Yummy :)

I used to drink a lot of soda myself. I did drink diet soda, but of course the artificial sweeteners have problems of their own…

    Gross indeed.

Seldom have i drank non-diet soda in the past couple of decades. Hopw the same can’t be said for them, but trying to replace them for other healthier options regardless.

Not sure whether you saw it in NZ, but there were a few stories in the press here last week about people claiming to be addicted to Coke, including one woman who claimed to be drinking 70 litres a week!

I gave up drinking soda a month ago and I feel so much better for it. I felt the odd craving now and again but my days of drinking 2litres of Coca Cola every evening are now over!

I can’t see the picture or video for some reason here at work…but I gave up Mountain Dew last May — I was drinking quite a bit each day…and stopping that…made a huge impact in how I felt on a daily basis.

I still drink a 12 oz sprite a day (still lots of sugar though). All the dark stuff is out.

The sad, or good depending on how you look at, part is that I was never a big soda drinker so cutting out sodas did not help me one bit in my transformation as I never drank sodas to begin with. My weak spot is chips and snacks. I have pretty much abandoned any and all of it from my life and look where I got!

I posted something similar to this earlier this year (although I think I lost it in my website conversion) — it certainly made me cut way back on soft drinks, and I already don’t drink that many anyway. One every once in a while is a treat — one or two or three a day is just disgusting.

I couldn’t agree more Andrew. Soda is dangerous stuff. Thought you guys might be interested in reading this post about soda and aspartame – scary stuff:

Soda contains so much sugar, it really adds up to your weight. You can try this one http://www.myefusjonpage.com/g/gillmana/639/. An effective healthy drink to keep you healthy and lose your weight. Add up some exercise too.
