Helicopters!

I ran past the Rescue Helicopter base yesterday as one was taking off. I still get that childhood thrill from watching helicopters!

Terrible run as it was extremely windy and I’m still coughing up green stuff. 11Km in 1:12:31.

Well, feel better – don’t let illness get the best of you. Be smart, feel better, and run, run, run!!

The green stuff sounds terrible. I have never been in a helicopter, would love to someday.

    Andrew,

Thanks for reminding me of my childhood at 9 years old, when I take a helicopter trip from a New Jersey Airport. I haven’t thought of this for more than 50 years.

And, by the way, you did what I made excuses for not doing; a 5k run. Congratulations on your persistence and determination.

Does running against the wind help? ;) I have never tried running on a very windy day but I figure the resistance would make running tougher. I have just started a running regime but got a shin splint on the second run. I can’t wait to recover so I can get back on track!

I love running around a track when its super windy. You have to push so hard one way then you feel light as a feather going the other way.

The worst is running uphill against win!

I also think running or doing some exercise is good when you have a cold cause it can boost the circulation of the blood and continuously remove harmful substance like the green stuff you are mentioning..
